Methodology

How we decide what to recommend on the Croatian coast.

Our Editorial Philosophy

What is worth seeing depends on where you are based, the season and how much time you have. We describe each place from cited sources, then explain the trade-offs.

How We Choose What to Recommend

Recommendations consider these criteria and explain their limits:

  1. 1

    Trip fit

Match the place to the base town, the time available and the question the guide answers.

  2. 2

    Access

How you get there, how long it takes and what the season changes.

  3. 3

    Season and availability

Distinguish published opening times from what is running today.

  4. 4

    Evidence

Cite factual claims and identify unsupported or uncertain details.

What We Don't Rank By

Understanding what we explicitly exclude matters for trust.

  • ✗Affiliate commission rates
  • ✗Paid placement
  • ✗Invented visits
  • ✗Unverified guarantees

Where Our Data Comes From

Our recommendations synthesize multiple signal types. We prioritize signals in this order:

  1. 1. Tourist boards and park authorities

Official descriptions, opening times and seasonal announcements

  2. 2. Museums and operators

Direct descriptions of tickets, tours and timetables

  3. 3. Attributed reporting

Published context with an identifiable source and date

Handling Uncertainty

When a source doesn't confirm a detail, the guide says so and points you to the official page to check. We'd rather be clear about what is published than guess.
